x10hosting SHUTS DOWN FREE ACCOUNTS
I'm very disappointed with x10 hosting. they will shut down your account after you've painstakingly created your first website. i'm off to 000webhost or xtreemhost or zymic. look at what they did to my account: http://i.imgur.com/qAvqz.png

Decent free, very good paid 
Server Speed: I ranked this good because of measures that x10 is currently taking to increase the speed on the free servers. Before these changes, load times could be in the seconds for intensive scripts. After these changes, both website and cpanel load times are much faster, better than many other free hosts.
Server uptime: There is good uptime on the free servers (around 95% to 99%). As of late, I don't think there has been any downtime on the free servers.
Support Service: Free hosting support is run mainly by volunteers, so many requests have long response times because they either think that someone else will get to it or they don't know the answer. Due to the large number of requests, and the fact that support is handled via forums, these types of support requests might never get answered as they fall off the first few pages of threads. This, combined with the fact that no exceptions are made for people that violate rules, leads to most of the complaints about x10.

We pay for our X10 hosting and the service and uptime has been excellent. We do everything above board which avoids problems. X10 operates with high ethics so don't deal with them if you don't.

Good free service! premium = dream!
I've been using x10hosting over over 18 months now and the free service is great (especially if you're starting out in web design or making your first website / a basic website for a company to give them an online presence).
I live in the UK and it can take a few seconds (literally) to load my site, but its free so whats a couple of seconds??
I'll soon be upgrading my account, after reading many reviews online i have seen the same old complaints about x10 - accounts being banned for "no good reason", which is hilarious because the majority of such complaints stem from "nulled scripts" or put simply; ILLEGAL COPIES OF SOFTWARE - I.E. a ripped copy of vBulletin or other such premium software.
However, they did go through a rough patch in 2010 whilst upgrades the servers (quite a bit of downtime, DBs not connecting etc) but they seem to be back on track now and all is smooth sailing!
Definately recommend this company! 5*

WORST HOST EVER!
They ban you for everything and anything. What's worse is after they ban you can't get your website files back so unless you have a copy on your hard drive you have to start from scratch. If you ask them nicely on forums to give you back your files you get banned from there too. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Both free and paid services suck.

Save yourself
The worst host I've ever used. 12MB of RAM allocation per hosting. PHP and Javascript are a bannable offense. If you try to host any forum, instant ban. If you try to FTP from two different computers, instant ban. You are not allowed to host any images that are already on Google Images as they use software to look for duplicates and automatically ban you if any duplication is found. SQL, FTP, HTTP...ALL up about half of the time.

Free Service = Meh. Premium Service = 5*
The free servers from x10hosting are fine. Nothing amazing, they are up more times than not (most of the time). Their response to service is pretty poor to be quite frank, you very rarely get your question answered. However, I was running a forum from their free servers, and I never got banned once in about a year.
However, they do "upgrade" their servers very regularly, and this causes chaos. My forum was down for about 2 weeks, which is just rediculous. Because of this, I decided to get their premium service. Unwise move you may say? Not a bit of it, they are fantastic. My forum has never gone down since I bought the server, and their customer service is excellent. They will answer your questions in a few hours, and explain anything you don't understand. And they are the cheap! 90 quid up front for their 3 year package. This includes your own dedicated server, SSI certificate and a domain name of your choosing. Simply nothing betters their premium service imo.

This is pathetic.
I got suspended immediately after trying to install vbulletin forums. The tos agrees with the use of VB and the support staff said it was ok, yet they suspend you everytime you try to install it...
Admin was in my forum thread several times and still did not respond ONE TIME... They just read it and left.
I'm disappointed in how pathetic this companies attempts at keeping customers was. Especially since I was testing to buy full/paid hosting..
The admins name that kept viewing my thread and ignored it was "Anna"

Don't waste your time with these guys
Wow, these people are so arrogant. They ask for so much from the user, yet they offer so little.
They suspend your account for no reason if you don't participate in their forum. I don't have time for messing around like that. I want a website that will stay up and not shut down. I even purchased the "forum exemption" or whatever you call that, and they still shut down my site.
Very poor speed and transfer speeds. Not even good for a personal hobby site, even less something more serious.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND BRAINCELLS

Worst Host Ever
They claim to be the best free hosting ever, but they are just full of it. Downtime is a high at this hosting website...
I moved over to Pyloth Hosting and they seem to be doing wonderful. I recommend them. :]

Too Much Down Time
I have given up on this hosting service as over the past month my site has been available for about a week. They have been plagued by hardware problems but to be honest I don't think the people who are doing the repair work know exactly what they are doing and consequently cause further problems. Maybe they will get their act together again but until then it is best to look elsewhere.

X10 doesnt have a good support.They provide support from their users itself.One username BOSS IS THE BEST who post rubbish ,blunders is now a support staff. He is a total idiot. Good for nothing.He must be throwed out and real admins must help//////

They've gone WAY downhill
They have gone downhill in a big way. They used to be great, but no more. Now they constantly mess with the servers, often times causing downtime or even the loss of your entire site. They blame EVERY problem on you and refuse to help, even if it's obviously something on their end. And yes, I know enough about hosting to know when it's a problem on my end or theirs.

they use to be real good but now they suck... they move so much stuff around and they change so many things on a daily basis i dont know why they dont just leave it alone... my site has been down for a week because they are "moving" servers....

Excellent Hosting
x10 provides an excellent service for free. The people who are posting negative reviews are the ones that get suspended for hosting illegal software and scripts. I recognize some of the names here from the x10 forums. I have been hosting with x10 for 3 years now and this past year has been comparable to paid services I used to have. You won't find a better free host out there that has been around for as long as x10.
